Born in São Paulo, Brazil, I have always had a huge passion for Animation and Visual Effects. During my career, I managed to accrue several work experiences. I had the privilege of working for Big Studios and Vetor Zero in a Look Developer and Shading Artist role, where I learned valuable professional skills and specialized at physically based rendering, lighting for a cinematic and appealing look, painting and procedurally generated texturing for assets and characters and dealing with time management for deadlines. I moved to Canada in 2021 where I have worked in very exciting projects at ICON Creative Studio and Cinesite as a Lighting & Compositing Artist. In both my academic and professional life, I have been consistently praised as someone with an eye for details by my peers. Whether working on academic, personal, or professional projects, I apply proven problem-solving, teamwork, and creative thinking skills.
I have been constantly participating in Pixar’s Renderman Challenges, gaining a considerably extensive knowledge over the software and its artistic and physical tools. I am immensely proud to have been announced as a finalist in the Rustic Cabin Renderman Challenge and several honorable mentions in the past Woodville, Shipshape, Magic Shop and NASA Exploration Art Challenge.
I have two big inspirations: Ed Catmull, from Pixar and Shigeru Miyamoto, from Nintendo. By learning their history, the fire of pursuing your dreams and creating beautiful works has ignited inside me, and I never stopped since.
I had the privilege of freelancing for Vetor Zero and work in Toyota's "The Journey" commercial. I was responsible for the look development of assets and lightings of shots.
My role at Big Studios was primarily look developing, lighting, shading/texturing and rendering. But I was constantly covering some 3D hard-surface modelling as-well.
