"The Quiet Between Worlds

A hush fell over the meadow. The fog, thick and restless, glowed as a golden beam tore through the sky, cutting the world into shadow and light. The air trembled, carrying the metallic tang of a coming storm.

Through the haze, it appeared vast, silent, impossibly graceful. Its hard metallic surface shifting with dim colors that seemed alive. No roar of engines, only the slow, deliberate descent, as if the ship had always been part of the sky and was merely choosing now to return to Earth.
